Is it really September?

It's been forever - we know! Since David started walking - and now has entered into full-fledged running - we have been pretty busy! Here are the brief updates....

David turned 1 on August 9. We had a birthday party for him in Grand Forks on August 1 with our families. He had a great time and loved digging into his cake!

We took a "Brrr-cation" to Alaska to visit Danielle & Mike in the middle of August. We had a great time and David did so great with all the traveling.....he was on a plane, train, boat, car, and aerial tram. We were also thankful to his heavy-duty 3-wheeled stroller which we were able to take all the way to the edge of Exit Glacier - with some help from Dad and Uncle Mike to lift him over the really rocky parts!

Here are some family pics and a photo of David with Danielle and Mike. We have hundreds more photos of Alaksa and the beautiful scenery. Let us know if you are interested in seeing them and we'll find a way to post them out. It was awesome and definitely a trip of a lifetime!

We've kept quite busy this summer with family visiting, Saints games, Twins games, playing outdoors, going to the zoo, and tons of other things. We took David to the State Fair on Tuesday night and he had a lot of fun people watching. He tried some of the fried foods on a stick but had a bit of an upset stomach on Wednesday morning.....must have been the fried pickles!
All in all, we've had a great summer and are so blessed to have a wonderful little boy that adds so much joy to our lives every day!
