Children's Museum Friday, Teddy Bear Park and Target Field on Saturday

Not sure how our weekends keep staying so busy. Nicole took David to the Children's museum on Friday night.

While they did that, I went to the Twins Game with some coworkers. Before the game, I had the opportunity to meet Gary Gaetti (for non-baseball fans, he was with the Twins in 1987, was MVP of the ALCS that year)...

On Saturday, we headed over the Teddy Bear Park.

That afternoon, it was off to another Twins game. Here is the view from section 215 (in the shade, not bad).

Sunday was much more relaxed, just church, playing at a nearby park and some ice cream!

BUSY!?

We are just wrapping up what has been a crazy few weeks. This is a long post, but I promise, it is worth it.

Baby #2 seems to be doing well. Nicole is feeling good overall and all of us are healthy! The OB tells us we are still on track for a July 30th due date.

Our business all began about three weeks ago. We traveled up to Roseau for our niece, Savannah's confirmation. While David quite literally marched to the beat of his own drum on the trip, it was great to be able to see family and friends.

I'm not sure I have ever seen Elias quite so terrified! It was fantastic!

Over Memorial Day weekend, we were able to make the drive to Grand Forks where David was able to play with his cousins, Owen and Dylan.

Ice Cream!

Going for a drive.
Been golfing long?

Then, on Memorial Day, we were able to welcome our second niece, Lauren! Congratulations Mike and Danielle!

With all this excitement, we were all looking forward to a nice rest. It all started really quite tame. We decided to go to a children's festival in St. Paul on Saturday.

The next thing we knew, David had some blue hair.

Of course, if you have blue hair, you also need a balloon animal shaped like a frog, sitting on a lily pad. Obviously, if you have a frog on a lily pad, you should wear it like a corsage...

The next thing I remember is taking David to a rather filthy restaurant restroom while having lunch with our neighbors. When I came out, Nicole said, "Guess what, we're going camping tonight!" You can imagine my shock considering this statement was delivered with complete enthusiasm from my wife of nearly 9 years, who is a bit pregnant at the moment and with whom I have NEVER previously camped...

Of course, if you're going camping, you need a...
And, if you're going to be sleeping outdoors, you need...

Blue hair, camouflage pajamas, and a stick.

Of course, sometimes a stick just isn't enough, sometimes, you need a superhero when you camp. If you need a superhero, I highly recommend...

Batman of course! Zoom in on David's face. I had no idea our son was capable of getting this dirty.

Thank you so much, Wes, Kari, Austin and Annika, for letting us crash your campsite! Well, really we crashed your entire Saturday, thank you! We had a blast!

School Photos Are In

I love school photo day. These pictures came after dad spent an hour trying to convince David to wear a different shirt that day. The compromise worked out.
