Pajama Day, Picture Day and Aunti Lindsey

Well, I think I did a little better understanding how to dress David for yesterday and today's events at daycare. Here he is in his pajama day best.
And here he is looking all preppy for picture day!
Auntie Lindsey came to visit tonight! David was having so much fun playing with Auntie Lindsey that he even stayed up a bit past his bedtime!

And the winner is...

While I'm sure the brown hat brigade will be disappointed, blue hat supporters were just too powerful. Here are a couple of pictures from hat day.

Today was mix-and-match day at daycare. In fairness, there was no description of expectations for mix-and-match day. So while other parents felt this day meant wearing two different socks (ok, they had the mix, but where's the match?), I took a much more literal approach (the blue in the pj pants matches the blue in the polo shirt). Oh well, it's pajama day tomorrow, so hopefully I can get that one on the mark... Poor David, he had to be at daycare like this, at least he spit up on his shirt in the morning so he wasn't dressed like this all day.
Finally, thought I would share a video of David's new bath time routine.

Vote Now, Early and Often!

On Monday David is supposed to wear his favorite hat to daycare. As he is only 8 months old and rarely wears hats (unless placed on his head by his parents), and I seem to be incapable of making this decision on my own I would like to ask you to vote for your favorite hat. There are two choices below. Votes will be accepted via comments to the blog, text message, pic message, video message, phone calls, voice mails, e-mail, or snail mail. The winning hat will be wore on Monday. Polls close at 5:30 or 5:45 depending on how early Pete wakes up. Please read the note below for a disclaimer about this vote.
Option 1Option 2
DISCLAIMER: This poll is intended for entertainment purposes only. Results may or may not reflect the opinion of David's parents. While each vote may be considered, not all votes will necessarily be counted. Nicole retains the right overrule the poll results, she may choose to defer judgement to David or Pete. Unlike a certain MN senate race, the results of this poll will be final on Monday.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to Wes, Kari, and Austin for watching David for a few hours today. He had a great time, and I was able to accomplish a lot of things that would not have otherwise been completed today.

Standing Tall

David is mastering a new trick. While he cannot pull himself up yet (thank goodness!), he loves to lean on objects and has actually begun to push my hands away. Guess we really will need to baby-proof the house soon.
I was click through a couple of pictures last night and came across some pictures of Nicole with David and a video with Nicole's voice. While it was hilarious to watch him bang away on the computer, it took me until just now to figure out what all he managed to change in about 30 seconds.

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Guys Night continued

Our guy's night adventures continued tonight. It was a beautiful night, so we had to take advantage of the weather. It's amazing to see how many people come out when it warms up. After the walk, it was time for Dinner! All-in-all, another good night! Love you and miss you Mommy!

Guys Night(s)

David and I had guys night tonight, and I started thinking it has been quite some time since I updated the blog. Things have been going very well here. We have started transitioning David to a sippy cup. The video below was taken on April 5.

The weather was so nice last weekend, we finally had a chance to take David out in the "nice stroller." What a difference a few months make. Last fall we could not get him to stay in this thing. Now he has a great time looking at all the cars and people.

Unfortunately, tonight he was a little too tired to go for a walk, so we just had jumperoo time instead!
Love you and miss you Mommy! Hope your flight went well!
